The Object of the Game
Just like in golf the object of Shiperio is to score low. Each hand you play counts as a hole. Each game consists of 9 or 18 holes.
Starting the Game
First things first. Youll need paper and something to write with. The dealer deals 4 cards face down to each player. The cards should be placed in a line.

Players can look once, and only once, at the two outside cards. Place the undealt cards in the center of the table (this is the draw pile), turn the top card over and place next to the draw pile (this is the discard pile).
Time to Tee Off
Player left of the dealer starts. The player can take either the top card from the draw pile or the top card from the discard pile. The player then:
A) replaces any of the cards that are face down with the card drawn, placing it face up in its place. The replaced card is then put on the discard pile, or;
B) places the drawn card on the discard pile and turns over one of the face down cards.
The next player repeats these instructions. Play continues until all four cards for each player are face up. If the Shiperio card is face up on the table it should be played at this time (See instructions under Special Cards for more info). When play is complete calculate hole scores and record.
Matching Up
Any identical cards up in your hand cancel each other out and equal a combined total of 0. This is great news on over par scores but not so great on under par scores. It can make things interesting. Remember the cards must be identical in color and number.
How to win the game
The player with the lowest cumulative score, after all holes are completed, is the winner!
